Audrey Beckert lives and works in beautiful Cape May, New Jersey. Her love for painting transformed into a career when she decided to open ABECKERT Art Studio. She describes her work as impressionist-style snapshots of personal life experiences, much like others would take photos with a camera. Her slow progress in creating a single work allows her to linger in focus and cherish each memory and scene, transferring nostalgic feelings onto the canvas. Just as a simple subject like water can change depending on the season, the wind, or the light, her painting mode varies slightly from time to time, as she pushes herself to further develop her personal style and technique. Audrey names Matisse, Cezanne, and Picasso a major influences, and she enjoys visiting art museums near her home and on her travels, often returning to view a work or series of works multiple times. She states her goal as an artist is to evoke emotions and inspire without challenging the viewer, while celebrating everyday life and the relaxed natural beauty of Cape May County. When not in the studio with her beloved pets, you can find Audrey with family and friends on the beach or at a local hangout.
