The soothing sound of the falling water beckons one to make a wish. Summertime brings shoppers, tourists, diners, and people just relaxing as they sit on the sides of the planters under the trees on Cape May’s Washington Street Mall. I pushed the contrast of the colors to indicate the height of the sun in the sky, and used a medium grey in most of the shadows. The intense peachy tones of the brick walkway make it seem like you are squinting against the midday glare.
