Iconic in Cape May are the bright red Miss Chris Party Boats.  My family are crazy about fishing, and I enjoy at least an annual trip out on one of our local fleets.  If I'm sometimes quiet, know that I am remembering my grandparents, aunts & uncles, and my dad, who all loved being on the water so very much.  But then I snap out of my reminiscing and have quite a good time, enjoying the scenery and the rocking of the boat and of course fishing.  
Here the boat is cruising out toward Cape May Point, in front of the city.  I didn't paint any specific houses here.  I just used colors that represent the Victorian architecture and the old trees that line the streets, and suggested the promenade adjacent to the beach.
