I started Dark Seas in 2020, during the Pandemic, which did not improve things for anyone. I was also going through a rough patch personally, as each of us occasionally experience: Divorce, having to refinance my house as a single person, worrying about keeping up at work, taking care of my pets, and the million other little decisions one makes daily.
I put it aside for 3 years, and finally finished it when I was a bit more settled. But, though I had a good path, not surprisingly, I also had a whole new set of worries. Being an adult sometimes isn't the best gig out there.
I can find the bright side in almost any situation, to the point one of my friends refers to me as "Mary Sunshine". Though the painting's title is "Dark Seas", it's really about the bright bits in between. Find your ability to face situations head on and gratefully accept and deal with your own problems. The silver lining is your strength, painted here as the light parts of each wave.
This painting is about Positive Outlooks.
This painting has a bit of damage on the right side near the top. It's been repaired and will hold, but it's delicate. Priced accordingly.
Too big to ship. Must be picked up from my home studio.
