I spend a good amount of time by myself in my studio doing what I absolutely love to do.  On really special days, though, I get to show my art at local events, and that's when I get to make those personal connections with all kinds of people, whether or not they are looking to buy a piece of art.  What's important is their appreciation of art, and I revel in the comments they make.  I take a few moments after each event to jot down things that I heard.  Some people love certain color palettes, some people talk about texture, some others might ask about meaning or emotion of a piece.  I love the feedback, positive or not, and do my best to remain open-minded when anyone walks up to me and begins to speak.  I hope that you all enjoy meeting me as much as I do you.  

As an artist, I am aware that I have to cultivate relationships with my audience in order to succeed.  Thus, from time to time, I try to gather just a little information so that we can stay in touch.  I promise I will not become a nuisance, and keep any email blasts short, sweet, and infrequent (4-5 per year is my goal, as I don't like a huge number on my inbox either).
